Northern Shore of Lake Kawaguchiko
Lake Kawaguchi is the first place that comes to mind when we think of a gorgeous location with wonderful views of Mt. Fuji. It has a maximum depth of 16.1 meters and is the second biggest of the Fuji Five Lakes (Fujigoko).
This is the simplest of the Fuji Five Lakes to reach, a lake vacation region with lots to offer visitors from neighboring Tokyo. There are railway and bus terminals nearby, making it an excellent choice for anybody seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Visitors will get some of the greatest views (and images) of Mt. Fuji in Japan from the northern coast. The adjacent cherry trees will be in blossom in the spring, while the maple trees' leaves will turn beautiful colors of crimson in the fall.
Aside from taking in the breathtaking vistas, there are lots to do here, including hot spring spas and a plethora of museums.
Chureito Pagoda, Fujiyoshida
This pagoda, situated in Arakurayama Sengen Park, offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji in a distinctly Japanese environment. Chureito Pagoda was erected on a mountainside in 1963. The "Five-Story Pagoda" has just lately gained attention. The 398 stone stairs to the pagoda viewing location are rather strenuous, but the vista is well worth the time and effort.
The pagoda is encircled by cherry blossom trees in bloom in the spring, so there is a yearly cherry blossom festival, that has risen in popularity. The sight of Mount Fuji from above the cherry blossoms is magnificent.
Saiko Iyashi-no Sato Nenba
This 'healing village' is an attempt to replicate Lake Saiko's shoreline as they once were: bordered by traditional thatched-roof cottages with Mount Fuji in the distance. You may tour twenty different cottages. Inside, visitors may enjoy exhibitions and activities that depict the lives of the peasants who previously resided in these dwellings.
There are also stores and restaurants. The charming architecture and breathtaking scenery would make you feel as if you've been moved back in time. The vista and experience are one-of-a-kind and would make an excellent complement to any vacation to central Japan.
Lake Ashi, Hakone
With its distinctive red torii gate located in front of distant Mount Fuji, this lovely lake provides a one-of-a-kind sight. Hakone, is one of the top day trip locations from Tokyo, with some of Japan's most gorgeous scenery. You may experience breathtaking views by joining one of the lake's boat trips, which are available in Japanese, English, and Chinese. You may also rent a speed boat if you have a valid license. There are indeed swan boats on the lake with tiny top hats on their heads for a much more leisurely (and charming) experience.
There are a few charming onsen villages in the vicinity that are suitable for anyone looking for a good spot to camp overnight or perhaps for a vacation was peaceful.
Hakone is one of Japan's most popular sites to watch the fall foliage.
Fuji Shibazakura Festival
Pink moss blooms throughout Japan in late spring, and one of the greatest places to observe it is during the Fuji Shibazakura Festival near Lake Motosuko. The event takes place between mid-April to early June, giving tourists a large window of opportunity to witness a carpet of pink blossoms with Mount Fuji looming above.
The event is immensely popular, and its kiosks provide a wide range of gifts and cuisine. The brilliant, alive hues and one-of-a-kind surroundings end up making it one of the world's most distinctive and greatest sights.
Oshino Hakkai
Oshino Hakkai, located at the foot of Mount Fuji, is built around eight ponds. The ponds are natural phenomena induced by the area's volcanic activity. They are well-known for their mineral-rich spring water. Bridges and paths connect the eight pools of water, with Mount Fuji towering in the distance. Koi fish live in several of the ponds. This unique water is safe to consume and even bottle. There is also a fantastic gift shop and locations to purchase coffee and refreshments in the vicinity. Every season brings its own distinct flavor to the surroundings, and Oshino Hakkai is active all year.
Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway
It might be difficult to obtain a genuinely panoramic picture of Mount Fuji and the nearby region, but that's exactly what you'll get here! This ropeway climbs 400 meters from Lake Kawaguchiko's shoreline to practically the summit of Mount Tenjo, in which a viewing platform has been created. Most visitors ride the ropeway round trip, however, there is a trekking track up to the monitoring deck for the more adventurous. The ropeway and trail are excellent methods to gain a panoramic picture of Mount Fuji, which is difficult to come by due to the area's lush woods and lakes.
Finally, Mount Fuji may be viewed from the Tokyo-Osaka Tokaido Shinkansen, the Tokyo Tower, Nishi Izu, Mount Takao, Mt. Tenjo, Lake Saiko, Lake Shoji, Lake Motosu, Tokyo Skytree, Lake Tanuki, Lake Yamanaka, Imamiya Tea Field, Urui River, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office Observatory.
Fuji Q Highland
This exciting amusement park may be found in the Fuji Five Lakes region. It is well for its outstanding, one-of-a-kind rides and anime-themed attractions. It's one of the world's most technologically advanced amusement parks, setting many Guinness World Records using one roller coaster. There are attractions for thrill lovers of all ages and skill levels. The vistas of Mount Fuji from the park are spectacular, especially if you ride one of the park's larger attractions. After a long day at the tourist attraction, the surrounding region provides excellent hotels and onsen.
Lake Tanuki
Lake Tanuki, located on Mt. Fuji's western slope in Fujinomiya City, is arguably the greatest site to observe the dawn with a view of Mt. Fuji. The Diamond Fuji may be seen here. It happens when the dawn beams above Mt. Fuji's top. A lakeside campsite is accessible, as are a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, boating, trekking, bird-watching, and fishing. A morning stroll around the lakeside is a very amazing experience because the lake is encircled by stunning natural beauty.
Lake Motosu
Lake Motosu (Motosuko), located in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, is the deepest of the Fuji Five Lakes and the eighth deepest lake in Japan. This is another excellent location for viewing Mt. Fuji. Visitors may enjoy outdoor activities in this area, which is known for its pure water. Camping, kayaking, paddling, and fishing are popular activities for tourists here. Mt. Fuji's view from the lakeshore is so magnificent and legendary that it has been included in the 1,000 yen currency since 2004. You may try it out right immediately if you've had 1,000 yen money in your wallet.
